Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager with deep expertise in precision machining to lead the development of critical components from concept to production. The role combines new product development, direct customer interaction and full ownership of production

.Key Responsibilities

- Lead new product development of critical, high-precision defence components, from drawing review and process planning through prototyping and first-article approval.
- Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, specifications and tolerances, and resolve technical queries throughout development.
- Move developed components into regular production and own output, quality and delivery timelines.
- Plan and optimise machining processes, tooling, fixtures and CNC/VMC/HMC programming approaches to achieve tight tolerances and consistent quality.
- Ensure quality compliance and documentation in line with defence and customer standards.
- Lead, mentor and manage the engineering and production team on the shop floor.
- Find opportunities to reduce cost,



shorten cycle times and improve productivity.

Candidate Requirements

- At least 15 years of experience in precision machining, with a proven track record of developing critical components.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixture design, metrology and GD&T.;
- Experience in new product development and customer interaction.
- Proven ability to manage production operations and lead teams.
- Background in defence, aerospace, drilling tools or similar precision engineering industries preferred.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
