Job Summary
Responsible for operating cutting machines and accurately cutting fabric according to approved patterns, measurements, and production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate cutting machines safely and efficiently.
Cut fabric according to patterns, markers, measurements, and production specifications.
Check fabric spreading and alignment before cutting.
Ensure accurate cutting to minimize fabric wastage.
Inspect cut panels for defects, uneven edges, and incorrect measurements.
Separate and bundle cut components according to size, colour, style, and quantity.
Label and identify cut bundles correctly.
Follow production schedules and achieve daily cutting targets.
Maintain cutting machines and report any machine problems to the supervisor.
Follow safety procedures and use required protective equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the cutting area.
Coordinate with the Cutting Supervisor and other departments as required.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of garment cutting processes.
Ability to understand measurements and cutting instructions.
Positive attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to operate cutting equipment safely.
Ability to work under production targets.
Teamwork and discipline.
Qualification
Education: 8th / 10th / 12th standard preferred.
Experience: Freshers can be considered; previous garment cutting experience is an advantage.
