Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile/Civil) or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Preferred)
- Reporting To Assistant Manager - Transportation & Logistics

Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate daily equipment mobilization and demobilization; Prepare transportation schedules based on project requirements; Monitor fleet movement and ensure timely equipment deployment; Coordinate vehicle availability to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate transportation of cranes, piling rigs, excavators, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, graders, compactors, forklifts, and other construction equipment; Arrange route surveys, permits, and movement approvals where required; Ensure safe loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment; Track equipment movement until successful delivery.
- Coordinate with approved transport vendors for equipment movement; Obtain transportation quotations and process transport requests; Monitor transporter performance and delivery timelines; Maintain vendor records and transportation documentation.




- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, permits, insurance, and statutory requirements; Maintain transport challans, permits, gate passes, PODs, and movement records; Support internal audits and logistics documentation; Ensure adherence to company safety and EHS guidelines.
- Monitor transportation costs against approved budgets; Verify freight bills and transporter invoices; Support route optimization and cost-saving initiatives; Maintain transportation cost records and reports.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, SCM, Commercial, and Project teams for equipment readiness and movement; Resolve day-to-day transportation issues; Ensure timely communication between transporters and project teams; Support emergency equipment deployment whenever required.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics MIS reports; Monitor fleet utilization, transportation status, and delivery performance; Maintain accurate transportation records in ERP/SAP; Support continuous improvement in logistics processes.
