Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Engineer – Production to manage day-to-day production activities, production planning, shop-floor operations, manpower utilization, process improvement and quality improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production planning and control, manpower handling, quality improvement, Kaizen, 5S, CAPA and shop-floor management. Candidates with relevant Injection Moulding experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Monitor production processes and ensure smooth shop-floor operations.
- Develop and implement process improvements for effective utilization of materials, manpower and equipment.
- Handle manpower planning and shop-floor workforce coordination.
- Work on cost reduction, rejection control and quality improvement initiatives.
- Implement Kaizen, 5S, Poka Yoke and other continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure production activities are carried out as per product specifications and quality requirements.
- Coordinate RM issuing to production lines based on production planning.
- Take corrective and preventive actions to address process and quality-related concerns.
- Manage and guide the production team, including training, performance monitoring and process adherence.
- Ensure daily production checksheets are completed accurately and records are maintained properly.
- Follow applicable quality standards, production processes,



work instructions and safety practices.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other relevant departments for smooth production operations.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC) and shop-floor operations.
- Experience in manpower handling and production team coordination.
- Working knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, 5S, CAPA, Poka Yoke, 4M and 3M.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP software will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of production documentation, quality control and process improvement.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 5–8 years in Production / Manufacturing
- Preferred: Candidates with Injection Moulding industry experience
- Strong exposure to shop-floor production and manpower management is preferred.
