SQL Server DBA – MES/PLM | 5+ Years

We are hiring an experienced SQL Server DBA with mandatory hands-on experience supporting MES or PLM applications in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

This is NOT a general SQL DBA role. MES or PLM experience is mandatory.

Experience: 5+ years

Availability: Immediate Joiners / Short Notice / Serving Notice preferred

Work Mode: On-site

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting MES/PLM applications.
- Perform database monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Manage full, differential and transaction-log backups.
- Perform database restore, recovery and point-in-time recovery.
- Monitor blocking, deadlocks, storage, database growth and SQL Server health.
- Perform index, statistics, DBCC/integrity and log maintenance.
- Troubleshoot MES/PLM database connectivity and application-related database issues.
- Support HA/DR, failover and disaster-recovery/restore testing.
- Manage database users, roles and permissions.
- Support SQL Server patching, upgrades, migrations and application deployments.
- Prepare RCA, SOPs and database documentation.
- Coordinate with MES/PLM application, infrastructure, cybersecurity and vendor teams.





Mandatory Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Must have : Hands-on experience supporting MES or PLM applications/databases.
- Strong SQL Server administration and production support experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server backup & recovery.
- Experience in SQL performance monitoring and tuning.
- Experience with database troubleshooting, blocking, deadlocks and maintenance.
- Experience supporting business-critical production databases.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

- Manufacturing / Automotive / Engineering / Industrial IT environment.
- Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, Aras or other PLM platforms.
- Apriso, AVEVA/Wonderware, Rockwell, SAP MII or other MES platforms.
- SQL Server HA/DR, Always On, clustering or replication.
