About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with fundamental knowledge of database administration to join our dynamic team at L&T; Technology Services. This role is pivotal in supporting the development and optimization of our cloud-based technology projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) SQL queries for SQL Server databases, with a minimum of six years of professional experience.

The candidate should possess a deep understanding of query plan analysis to enhance database performance, along with a strong foundation in database design, stability, and security. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex database systems, improve application performance, and contribute to innovative technology solutions in a collaborative environment.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in SQL development and database administration. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proven expertise in SQL Server management, query optimization, and performance tuning is essential.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, and experience in index management and maintenance, are highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working within Agile methodologies will set candidates apart.

Certifications related to SQL Server or cloud technologies will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance databases aligned with business requirements.
- Ensure database stability, reliability, and security through best practices and proactive monitoring.
- Create and implement database schemas, tables, views, functions, stored procedures, and dictionaries to support application needs.
- Analyze query plans to identify bottlenecks and optimize SQL queries for improved performance.
- Maintain and manage database indexes, including routine maintenance and performance tuning.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for database applications, including design specifications and operational procedures.
- Implement data quality controls and ensure data integrity across all database systems.
- Address and resolve database-related issues promptly, including performance issues, deadlocks,



and transaction conflicts.
- Configure and manage user authentication and authorization using Azure Directory and SQL Server security protocols.
- Develop and enforce best practices for database design, development, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application developers and system administrators, to deliver integrated solutions.
