Role Description The Solar Site Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Maradu, Kochi. This role involves overseeing solar project execution at the installation site, including site assessment, layout planning, and coordination with civil and structural teams.

The Solar Site

Engineer monitors construction activities, ensures adherence to design specifications and quality standards, and supports commissioning of solar systems. Daily responsibilities include supervising on-site teams, resolving technical issues, maintaining safety protocols, and preparing progress reports for project stakeholders. The role also requires regular communication with project managers, vendors, and clients to support timely and efficient project delivery.





Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong on-site project execution skills, including experience managing field activities and coordinating with installation teams.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders and to document project status clearly.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including the ability to inspect work, verify compliance with standards, and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge relevant to solar mounting structures, foundations, and site layouts.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field are preferred.
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, basic electrical concepts, and industry safety standards is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, use basic engineering tools, and work in outdoor site conditions.
- Prior experience in solar EPC projects or renewable energy installations is an advantage.
