Orbit Strategies Private Limited is looking for an experienced Solar Installation & Commissioning (I&C;) Contractor to execute solar PV installation and commissioning projects across Maharashtra.

This is a project-based contractual opportunity suitable for independent solar contractors, installation teams, electricians, and experienced solar professionals who can independently manage project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete installation of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Install solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, DCDB, ACDB and other BOS components.
- Execute DC and AC cabling, cable termination, crimping, gland fitting and cable dressing.
- Carry out earthing and lightning protection installation.
- Execute inverter and other electrical equipment installation.
- Perform string formation, polarity checks and electrical testing.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks and support final commissioning.
- Identify and rectify installation-related issues.
- Coordinate with Orbit's project team and client representatives at site.
- Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, technical specifications and project timelines.
- Follow electrical, work-at-height and general site safety requirements.
- Complete punch-point rectification and support final project handover.
- Maintain basic installation and testing records.

Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in solar PV installation and commissioning.




- Experience in rooftop and/or C&I; solar projects preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of DC and AC electrical systems.
- Ability to read SLDs and basic electrical/solar drawings.
- Hands-on experience with solar modules, inverters, ACDB/DCDB, earthing and cabling.
- Ability to manage installation manpower and execute projects independently.
- Strong focus on quality, safety and timely completion.
- Independent contractors/installation teams with their own manpower are encouraged to apply.
- Basic tools and equipment availability will be an advantage.

Project-Based Commercial Terms
- Payment will be made on a project basis, not as a fixed monthly salary.
- Commercials will be finalized project-wise based on the scope, capacity, site conditions and BOQ.
- Payment may be structured on ₹/kW, lump-sum or BOQ basis, depending on the project.
- Payment milestones will be mutually agreed before project commencement.
- Additional work outside the approved scope will be considered separately.
- Rework resulting from installation/workmanship issues will be the contractor's responsibility.
