Role Description The Solar Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for the technical design and optimization of solar power systems. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, performing PV system and electrical designs, preparing technical drawings and documentation, and supporting engineering calculations for grid-connected and off-grid systems.

The role involves coordinating with project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.





The Solar

Engineer will review equipment specifications, assist in commissioning and performance testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of the Solar Industry and practical exposure to Solar Power applications.
- Experience in designing and analyzing Solar Systems and PV Design for commercial or utility-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design related to solar installations, including basic protection, wiring, and grid interconnection concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with solar design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD or similar) and MS Office.
- Understanding of relevant standards, codes, and safety practices for solar PV systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Prior experience in solar EPC or renewable energy projects in India is an advantage.
