About role

- Professional working knowledge in designing mobile experiences for variable screen sizes across diferent versions of Android.
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with o line storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem, including libraries available for common tasks, benchmarking, and optimisation.
- Proficient in Google s Android design principles, interface guidelines, and code versioning tools such as Git.
- Ability to apply SOLID principles.
- Experience with MVVM/MVI architecture, Android Architecture Components, and other Jetpack libraries.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience working in a modularised codebase.
- Experience with UI testing.

What you ll need

- A capable technical lead who takes ownership of delivery and is willing to help grow and guide junior engineers towards appropriate target architectures.
- Strong programming skills with a good working knowledge of Kotlin and up-to-date toolsets such as Git, Android Studio, JUnit, Espresso, and GitHub.
- Diverse technical experience and a proven ability to deliver high-quality applications at scale. Strong knowledge of security patterns and best practices is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering to maximise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste.
- Advocacy for quality, supporting the team by leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD, Code Reviews, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
