About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team at DTICI. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of Body Control Module (BCM) solutions for a variety of platforms including passenger cars, commercial trucks, aerospace, and bus systems. You will lead a talented team of application software engineers, driving innovation and excellence in automotive embedded systems.
Your expertise will be critical in defining system architectures, ensuring cyber security and functional safety compliance, and delivering high-quality software components that meet stringent industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), AI integration, and advanced communication protocols,
contributing to the future of sustainable and intelligent transportation solutions.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical & Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A minimum of 10 to 15 years of extensive experience in automotive application development is required, with at least 5 years dedicated to working with Simulink for model-based design and simulation. Proven expertise in embedded C/C++ programming, automotive communication protocols, diagnostics, and feature implementation is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
Certifications or experience in Agile methodologies such as SAFe will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of Body Control ECU solutions across various platforms, including passenger vehicles, trucks, aerospace, and buses.
- Provide technical leadership in defining system architecture, functional decomposition, and ECU interfaces aligned with overall vehicle requirements.
- Develop and implement cyber security and functional safety concepts to ensure system robustness and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code walkthroughs, and design discussions to maintain high-quality software development processes.
- Design and develop complex device drivers and infrastructure software components critical to vehicle operation.
- Analyze field issues, identify root causes,
and coordinate corrective actions to improve product reliability and performance.
- Foster innovation by driving out-of-the-box solutions and exploring recent technological advancements.
- Mentor and lead a team of 8-10 application software engineers, promoting a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Support project management activities such as task planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Assist in budget planning, hiring, onboarding, and talent development initiatives to build a strong engineering team.
