C&I; SITE IN-CHARGE

Position: C&I; Site In-Charge

Project: FGD / Thermal Power Plant

Location: Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Bihar

Experience: 8–12 Years

Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or relevant engineering discipline

Joining: Immediate Joiner Preferred

Key Responsibilities

1. Take overall responsibility for C&I; erection, installation, testing and commissioning activities at the project site.
2. Supervise and coordinate instrumentation and control system installation as per approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
3. Handle installation and commissioning of:

- Field instruments and control valves
- Pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments
- Instrument impulse lines and tubing
- Junction boxes and instrument panels
- Cable trays, instrument cables and cable laying
- DCS/PLC/SCADA-related field activities
- Marshalling cabinets and control panels

1. Coordinate with the client, EPC contractor, vendors and site teams for day-to-day C&I; activities.
2. Monitor manpower, material availability, work progress and daily site requirements.
3. Review drawings, datasheets, cable schedules, loop diagrams and other C&I; engineering documents.
4. Supervise cable termination, continuity checks, megger testing, loop checking and calibration activities.
5. Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including instrument calibration and functional testing.
6. Identify site issues,



coordinate with the concerned engineering/vendor team and ensure timely resolution.
7. Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection reports, checklists, test records and commissioning documentation.
8. Ensure all C&I; activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, quality requirements and safety procedures.
9. Coordinate with other disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Process teams to avoid interface issues.
10. Monitor work against the project schedule and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
11. Lead and guide C&I; engineers, supervisors, technicians and workmen at site.
12. Attend client meetings and provide regular updates regarding progress, manpower, pending activities and site constraints.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of C&I; erection, testing and commissioning.
- Experience in FGD / Thermal Power Plant projects will be preferred.
- Positive understanding of DCS, PLC, SCADA, field instruments and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, loop diagrams, cable schedules and instrumentation drawings.
- Good manpower handling, coordination and site management skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently manage C&I; site activities and coordinate with clients.

Preferred Experience FGD / Thermal Power Plant / Power Plant C&I; erection and commissioning experience is preferred.
