We are looking for an experienced and responsible Site Engineer to manage and supervise our site in New Chandigarh. The person will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the site, coordination with workers and contractors, maintaining site records, monitoring materials and inventory, and ensuring that the site is properly managed and maintained.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Management

- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities at the site.
- Ensure that site activities are carried out according to the approved plans, drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Monitor the work being carried out by workers, contractors, vendors, and other site personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report any issues or deviations.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization of the site.
- Monitor site access and ensure that unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
- Coordinate with management regarding daily site requirements and issues.

1. Drawings & Documentation

- Keep the latest approved drawings, layouts, specifications, and relevant documents readily available at the site.
- Maintain proper records of drawings and ensure that workers/contractors are working from the latest approved versions.
- Provide drawings and technical documents to contractors or workers whenever required and as instructed by management.
- Maintain a proper record of documents issued, received, revised, or superseded.
- Ensure that outdated drawings are not being used at the site.
- Maintain daily site reports, work-progress records, photographs, and other relevant documentation.

1. Material & Inventory Management

- Take responsibility for the materials and stock available at the site.
- Maintain an updated inventory of materials, equipment, tools, and other site items.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing materials.




- Verify quantities received against delivery challans, purchase orders, or other relevant documents.
- Maintain proper stock records and identify shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure that materials are stored safely and appropriately.
- Inform management in advance when materials are running low and need to be reordered.
- Monitor wastage, damage, and unnecessary consumption of materials.

1. Store Management

- Maintain proper organization of the site store.
- Ensure that materials are properly labelled and stored.
- Maintain records of material issuance and receipt.
- Ensure that high-value or sensitive materials are properly secured.
- Conduct periodic physical stock checks and reconcile them with inventory records.
- Report missing, damaged, or excess materials to management.

1. Contractor & Labour Coordination

- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, technicians, and vendors working at the site.
- Monitor attendance and deployment of workers where required.
- Coordinate daily work activities and priorities.
- Ensure that contractors follow the approved drawings and instructions.
- Report delays, manpower shortages, quality concerns, or other issues to management.
- Coordinate access and material availability so that work can proceed without unnecessary delays.

1. Quality Control

- Monitor the quality of work being carried out at the site.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Identify defective or incomplete work and bring it to management's attention.
- Maintain records of inspections and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors to rectify identified issues.

1. Safety & Site Compliance

- Monitor general safety conditions at the site.




- Ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
- Report unsafe working conditions immediately.
- Ensure that the site is kept free from unnecessary hazards and obstructions.
- Maintain awareness of applicable site safety requirements.
- Escalate accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately to management.

1. Daily Reporting

The Site Engineer will be expected to provide regular updates to management covering:
- Work completed during the day
- Work in progress
- Labour/manpower status
- Materials received
- Materials consumed
- Current stock levels
- Site photographs
- Contractor activities
- Delays or issues
- Material requirements
- Any damage or discrepancies
- Work planned for the following day

1. Coordination With Management

- Act as the primary in office point of contact for management.
- Communicate site requirements and problems promptly.
- Coordinate site visits by management, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other authorized personnel.
- Provide access to relevant drawings and documentation whenever requested.
- Follow management instructions regarding site activities and priorities.

Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate should have:
- Relevant experience in site supervision, construction, warehouse, industrial, or similar site operations.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and site documentation.
- Good knowledge of material and inventory management.
- Ability to coordinate workers and contractors.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to maintain records using Excel/Google Sheets or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for site operations.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Own two-wheeler for travelling to and from the site and for site-related requirements.
- Valid driving licence and appropriate vehicle documents.

Candidates with relevant site supervision and inventory/material management experience are encouraged to apply. Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
