Role Description The Shirt Maker role at Aasopalav is a full time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad.

The Shirt

Maker is responsible for measuring clients, cutting fabric according to patterns, and stitching shirts to specified designs and sizes. Daily tasks include operating sewing machines and related equipment, finishing garments with precise hemming and detailing, and ensuring high-quality standards for fit and appearance. The role also involves inspecting completed shirts for defects, making alterations when needed, and maintaining an organized, safe, and clean workspace.





Collaboration with other tailoring and design staff to meet production timelines and customer expectations is an important part of this role.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills in shirt cutting, stitching, and finishing, with attention to fit, fabric handling, and garment construction.
- Ability to take accurate body measurements and interpret patterns, design specifications, and style requirements.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines, ironing equipment, and basic tailoring tools, with a focus on safety and equipment care.
- Commitment to quality control, including inspecting garments for defects, making necessary alterations, and meeting brand standards.
