Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shop Floor Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain quality standards, and optimize manpower, machines, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise daily shop floor production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the planned schedule.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively across production activities.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, and process losses and take improvement measures.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and shift-wise performance data.
- Ensure 5S and housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities to supervisors/operators.
- Train, guide, and motivate shop floor personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and TPM.




- Support cost-reduction and productivity-improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime.
- Investigate production issues and implement root-cause corrective actions.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering operations.
- Experience in managing shop floor teams and production activities.
- Robust knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality, and safety.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and OEE will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
