Service Technician – Pump & Control Units

Reporting To: Regional Service Manager / After-Sales Head

Weekend Support: Required for planned preventive maintenance activities

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to provide preventive and corrective maintenance support for Pump and Control Units installed at customer sites.

The role involves planned preventive maintenance (PPM), installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and after-sales technical support. You will work closely with regional and project teams to ensure reliable system performance, high-quality service delivery, and strong customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Corrective Maintenance

- Perform scheduled PPM and corrective maintenance for Pump and Control Units.
- Conduct operational checks, fault diagnosis, performance verification, and system-health assessments.
- Ensure the smooth functioning and optimal performance of installed systems.
- Attend service calls, identify root causes, and carry out necessary repairs or component replacements.
- Minimise repeat service calls through accurate diagnosis and effective resolution.

Installation, Commissioning & Technical Support
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of pump stations, lifting stations, and control panels at customer sites.
- Ensure installations comply with manufacturer standards, safety requirements, and site specifications.
- Support BMS and Modbus integration, including troubleshooting of wiring, sensors, control logic, and communication issues.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams to diagnose and resolve control-panel faults.
- Provide in office operational guidance and basic training to end users.

Coordination & Documentation




- Coordinate with the Regional Manager, Drainage Systems team, Installation team, and project stakeholders for timely execution.
- Maintain clear and complete service reports, PPM checklists, repair records, and customer sign-offs after every site visit.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior technical-support teams when required.
- Maintain proper handling, use, and upkeep of tools, equipment, and control systems.
- Represent the organisation professionally and maintain strong customer relationships.

Safety & Compliance
- Follow all applicable safety procedures during installation, maintenance, and service activities.
- Ensure safe working practices at customer sites and report any site-related risks promptly.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 1–3 years of field experience in pump systems, control panels, drainage systems, wastewater systems, or related technical-service roles.
- Exposure to Modbus or BMS integration will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- Strong understanding of pump operations, control logic, and control panels.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical or control-panel issues.
- Hands-on experience using installation, maintenance, and diagnostic tools.
- Practical problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and customer-service abilities.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work weekends for scheduled PPM activities.

- Accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of service documentation.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
