Position: Service Engineer

Job SummaryWe are looking for a technically skilled and field-oriented Service Engineer to handle transformer servicing, onsite testing, rectification, maintenance, and customer support activities. The candidate will be responsible for attending site issues, coordinating with clients, carrying out troubleshooting and testing, and supporting transformer-related work at the factory.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out onsite testing and inspection of transformers at customer locations.
- Attend customer complaints and troubleshoot transformer-related site issues.
- Perform onsite rectification and repair work as required.
- Handle transformer installation, commissioning support, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with clients and provide timely technical support for site-related issues.
- Conduct routine and diagnostic tests to identify transformer performance issues.
- Support transformer maintenance and servicing activities at customer sites and factory.
- Carry out transformer tagging, identification, and related factory work.
- Maintain proper records of testing, servicing, inspection, and rectification activities.
- Prepare service reports, testing reports, inspection reports, and site visit documentation.
- Coordinate with the production, quality, design,



and service teams for resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure all service activities are carried out as per safety procedures and company standards.
- Travel to customer sites as required for service and testing assignments.
- Follow up with clients after service completion to ensure satisfactory resolution.

Required Skills
- Basic to good knowledge of transformers and electrical equipment.
- Understanding of transformer testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments and equipment.
- Good problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Valuable communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites.
- Willingness to travel for onsite service assignments.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office/Excel for preparing service reports will be an advantage.

Educational QualificationDiploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Experience1–3 years of experience in transformer servicing, electrical equipment maintenance, testing, commissioning, or a related field will be preferred.
