Service Engineer 2

What will you be responsible for

- Administer Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, tenant settings, OneLake, and platform governance controls.

- Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure, identity, security, networking, monitoring, and platform services.

- Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of Azure and Fabric environments.

- Partner with architects, data engineers, application teams, and stakeholders to deliver cloud and data platform solutions.

- Drive automation, standardization, technical documentation, and continuous improvement across platform operations.

What would your day look like

- Monitor Fabric capacity utilization, platform health, service availability, and Azure operational alerts.

- Configure workspaces, access controls, deployment settings, gateways, connections, and data governance policies.

- Support Fabric workloads including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, Power BI, and OneLake.

- Troubleshoot platform, pipeline, connectivity, integration, security, and performance issues.

- Implement RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID integration, Key Vault, Azure Policy, Log Analytics, and compliance controls.

- Automate administration and support tasks using PowerShell, Python, Azure Automation, and Azure DevOps pipelines.

- Support cloud modernization, migration, incident management, capacity planning, and FinOps initiatives.

Who are we looking for

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, Administration, or Platform Operations.

- Practical experience administering Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, tenant settings, security, and governance.





- Solid knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, and RBAC.

- Experience with OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Power BI administration, SQL, and ETL/ELT concepts.

- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or equivalent tools.

- Knowledge of CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, incident management, and Agile delivery practices.

- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

AI and Innovation Requirements

- Working knowledge of Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and AI capabilities available within Microsoft Fabric.

- Ability to identify and implement AI-driven automation for monitoring, anomaly detection, reporting, incident triage, and operational efficiency.

- Exposure to supporting secure data pipelines and cloud environments for AI/ML and predictive analytics workloads is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.

- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates and cloud cost optimization practices.

- Microsoft Azure Administrator, Fabric Analytics Engineer, or related certification is preferred.
