As a Senior Video Editor you will help shape Alienkind’s video content and storytelling. You’ll work closely with the core creative team, collaborating on ideas, visual approaches and execution across social, campaigns, launches, events, creator collaborations and brand initiatives.

You’ll be part of the creative process from brief and references through to the final edit, bringing strong editing, storytelling and creative thinking to the work.

What You'll Do

- Edit end-to-end video content for social, campaigns, launches, events, creator collaborations and brand films.
- Translate briefs and creative objectives into solid visual stories and editing approaches.
- Work closely with the core creative team to develop and execute creative ideas.
- Contribute to creative discussions around references, visual direction, storytelling and editing style.
- Shape hooks, pacing, storytelling, transitions, sound, music, motion and VFX.
- Create platform-specific content with an understanding of social-first storytelling and retention.
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, social and production teams throughout the process.
- Identify the strongest stories, hooks, moments and cutdowns from raw footage.
- Create multiple versions, aspect ratios and cutdowns when required.
- Manage timelines, project files, exports and delivery with consistency.




- Stay updated on editing trends, creator formats, sounds, motion styles and emerging visual language.
- Use performance and audience behaviour to improve future creative.
- Share feedback, references and best practices with other editors and creative team members.

What you must have

- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably across consumer brands, agencies, media, entertainment,F&B;, lifestyle or social-first brands.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and/or After Effects.
- Strong understanding of pacing, composition, storytelling, music, sound, colour, motion and platform-native editing.
- Strong creative judgement and the ability to interpret a brief independently.
- Strong understanding of social-first content, hooks, retention, trends, creator formats and audience behaviour.
- Ability to work comfortably with tight timelines without compromising creative quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A portfolio/showreel that demonstrates strong editing, storytelling and creative thinking.
