Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Temporal Expert with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying workflow orchestration solutions using Temporal.io / Temporal Platform .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant, and production-ready workflows , while integrating Temporal with enterprise applications, microservices, databases, and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Temporal Workflows and Activities for complex business processes.
- Build durable, fault-tolerant, and scalable workflows using Temporal.
- Develop and manage Workers, Task Queues, Signals, Queries, and Timers .
- Implement workflow patterns including retries, timeouts, error handling, and compensation .
- Integrate Temporal workflows with REST APIs, microservices, databases, and external systems .
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and production support for Temporal applications.
- Develop reusable workflow components following clean coding and engineering best practices .
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business teams to translate requirements into effective workflow solutions.
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Temporal applications in cloud and production environments.

Required Skills




- 6+ years of overall software development experience .
- Robust hands-on experience with Temporal.io / Temporal Platform .
- Excellent understanding of Temporal Workflows, Activities, and Workers .
- Hands-on experience with Task Queues, Signals, Queries, Timers, Retries, and Timeouts .
- Strong programming experience in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript .
- Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems .
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, databases, and event-driven architectures .
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines .
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience.

Good to Have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms .
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK .
- Experience migrating existing orchestration/business processes to Temporal .
- Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed systems .

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong hands-on and practical experience with Temporal in production environments .
- Ability to design robust workflows for complex, long-running, and distributed business processes .
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of distributed workflow orchestration and fault-tolerant system design .
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment .
