Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Technical Support Fresher to join our technical team. The candidate will assist in monitoring and maintaining Linux-based servers, troubleshooting website and hosting-related issues, managing DNS and SSL configurations, and supporting day-to-day technical requests.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, web hosting, and troubleshooting, along with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing and maintaining Linux-based servers.
- Monitor server health, performance, disk space, memory, CPU, and system availability.
- Troubleshoot basic server, website, hosting, and connectivity issues.
- Handle basic DNS configuration and troubleshooting, including A, CNAME, MX,

TXT, and NS records.
- Assist with domain, SSL certificate, and HTTPS-related issues.
- Support website/application deployments and routine maintenance.
- Manage server access using SSH/PuTTY and file transfers using SFTP/FTP.
- Perform basic server log analysis and identify common errors.
- Assist with routine server backups and restoration.
- Perform basic security checks and follow server security best practices.
- Troubleshoot common HTTP/HTTPS errors, such as 404, 403, 500, and 502.
- Assist with basic email-related troubleshooting involving SMTP, IMAP, and POP3.
- Handle technical support tickets and resolve issues within defined procedures.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or administrators.
- Communicate clearly with clients/users regarding technical issues and resolutions.
- Follow established monitoring, backup, security, and escalation procedures.

Required Skills





JD Tech Support

Linux

- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with common Linux commands such as:

- ls, cd, cp, mv, rm
- cat, grep, find, tail
- chmod, chown
- Basic process and service management

• Basic understanding of Linux file systems, permissions, users, and groups.
- Ability to check CPU, memory, disk usage, and system logs.

Networking

- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Knowledge of IP addresses, ports, TCP/IP, and client-server communication.
- Understanding of common ports such as 22, 25, 53, 80, 443, 587, 110, and 143.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting commands/tools such as:

- ping
- traceroute/tracert
- nslookup
- dig
- curl

DNS

- Understanding of:

- A Record
- CNAME
- MX
- TXT
- NS

• Basic DNS troubleshooting and propagation concepts.

Web s Hosting

- Basic understanding of web hosting and server environments.
- Understanding of HTTP and HTTPS.
- Basic awareness of web servers such as Apache and Nginx.
- Basic understanding of SSL/TLS certificates.
- Familiarity with FTP/SFTP and SSH.
- Familiarity with hosting panels such as cPanel, Plesk, or RunCloud is an advantage.

Technical Support

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand technical issues and investigate them systematically.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with support tickets and follow escalation procedures.
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies.

Good to Have

- Basic knowledge of Apache/Nginx configuration.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB.
- Basic understanding of PHP and WordPress.
- Basic knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Basic Bash/Python scripting knowledge.
- Understanding of Git and basic deployment concepts.
- Awareness of common server security practices.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring tools and server logs.
