About the role
Vishwaas AI is the end-to-end DPDP Compliance Platform built natively for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025, which brings privacy and consent management together across seven capability areas: Data Discovery, Records, Notice Management, Consent Management, Rights Management, Breach Incident Management and Risk Management. Our consulting team assesses each customer's DPDP readiness and hands over a Gap Assessment. You take that hand-over and turn it into a working platform: every system connected, every notice live, every workflow tested and signed off.
You are the customer's technical owner from the hand-over through go-live and hypercare. After that you lead solution support, as the technical escalation point for every account your team has delivered.
What you will do
Requirements and solution design
- Read the Consulting and Gap Assessment outputs (gap report, RoPA draft, data-flow diagrams, approved notices and policies) and turn them into a solution design and implementation plan.
- Run workshops with the sponsor, DPO, legal, IT, security and business function owners to confirm Processing Systems, Processing Activities, Data Principal types, channels and integration routes.
- Agree the RACI,
communication plan, phase gates and RAID log at kick-off, and hold the scope baseline through change control.
Platform configuration
- Direct tenant set-up: white-label branding, Data Fiduciary Profile, users and roles on least privilege, and SSO (SAML or OIDC) or OTP sign-in.
- Lead configuration of Processing Activities and the RoPA, notices through the Rule 3 publish gate with mandatory DPO review, consent campaigns, the Unified Privacy Center, cookie banner, offline consent collection, rights and grievance workflows with SLAs, breach incident management, DPIAs and the Data Processor register.
- Where Data Discovery is in scope, plan the cloud, database and on-premise scan streams and walk the DPO through the DPO Gate and the Findings and Gaps report.
Integrations
- Design source bindings for each Processing System: REST APIs, CSV, direct read-only JDBC to PostgreSQL and MySQL, or the VAOC agent for closed networks.
- Design downstream consent propagation over HMAC-signed webhooks and the consent APIs, and run integration clinics with the customer's developers.
- Lead Data Discovery connections: list-only enumeration and per-asset scan credentials in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, database connections, and on-premise agent placement with the customer's network team.
- Configure notification channels on the customer's own email sender and SMS provider, including DLT template registration for SMS in India.
- For customer-hosted deployments, own environment sizing, installation, TLS, DNS, firewall, backup and restore testing with the customer's infrastructure team.
Training, UAT and go-live
- Deliver DPO and administrator training; oversee responder training and train-the-trainer sessions.
- Agree UAT scripts, run defect triage, and take the DPO through the go-live checklist.
- Plan the cut-over, obtain signed go-live acceptance,
and run hypercare until the account meets the managed-service entry criteria.
Solution support
- Act as the technical escalation point (L2) for delivered accounts, and escalate product defects to product engineering (L3) with clear reproduction steps.
- Lead Severity 1 response, including support during a live breach incident, within the agreed service levels.
- Keep solution designs and service runbooks current as the platform and the customer's systems change.
Team leadership
- Plan, assign and review the engineers' work; run parallel streams for large volumes of systems, activities and notices.
- Coach engineers on the platform, integrations and the DPDP concepts behind each configuration.
- Feed field lessons back into the implementation playbook, estimator and templates.
What you will bring
Must have
- 810 years in cyber security, data protection or privacy solution implementation, or technical consulting, including 4 or more years leading implementations from requirements to go-live.
- Hands-on integration experience: REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, OAuth or API keys, and SQL on relational databases.
- Working knowledge of identity and access: SSO with SAML or OIDC, role-based access, least privilege.
- Enough cloud and networking to work with customer IT: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud IAM, TLS certificates, DNS, firewalls and private connectivity.
- Ability to run a workshop with a DPO or legal team and a technical session with developers on the same day, and to write both kinds of documents.
- Working knowledge of the DPDP Act and Rules: notice, consent, legitimate uses, Data Principal rights, breach notification, children's data, Significant Data Fiduciary duties.
Valuable to have
- Implementation experience with privacy, consent, GRC or identity platforms.
- Data engineering or ETL: attribute mapping, reconciliation, bulk loads.
- Kubernetes, container platforms or database administration, for customer-hosted deployments.
- Experience in BFSI, insurance, healthcare, telecom or government accounts.
- Certifications: IAPP CIPM, CIPT or CIPP; a DPDP certification; a cloud associate certification; ITIL 4 Foundation; PMP or PRINCE2.
- Hindi or a regional Indian language, for workshops and training.
