Designation: Senior Technical Architect

Location: Mumbai BKC

Must Have & Good to Have Profile focus: Hands-on Senior Technical Architect with strong banking architecture depth, not a generic solution architect.

A) MUST HAVE - Non-negotiable

• 10+ years of overall technology experience, with substantial architecture/design responsibility.

• Strong BFSI / Banking experience

- practical exposure to banking technology, banking processes and Core Banking applications/systems.

• 8+ years of HLD/LLD exposure , with proven ability to independently prepare architecture and design documents.

• Very strong HLD capability

- able to design and articulate solution architecture covering system components, integrations, technology choices, security, cloud/infrastructure, data flows and NFRs.

• Clear understanding of HLD vs. LLD - must be able to explain the difference confidently and demonstrate practical experience with both.

• Strong end-to-end technology stack understanding

- frontend, middleware, APIs, backend, databases, integration layers and infrastructure.

• Strong API & integration architecture experience

- particularly important given the client feedback around limited API-led integration exposure.

• Cloud architecture knowledge

- architecture, deployment patterns, scalability, security and integration; Azure preferred, with AWS/GCP exposure also relevant.

• Hands-on technical depth

- architect should be technically solid enough to review code, assess design/code quality and guide development teams.

• Strong non-functional architecture knowledge - performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, DR and enterprise-grade NFRs.

• Architecture governance experience

- ability to review solutions and ensure adherence to enterprise/bank architecture principles, technology standards and security requirements.

• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience, working closely with product owners,



developers, engineering teams and other architects. • Excellent technical documentation capability - independently creating/reviewing HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, interface specifications and technical standards.

• Strong scenario-based problem solving - must be able to respond to real-world banking architecture scenarios, rather than provide theoretical answers.

• Senior-level communication skills

- clear, confident and capable of explaining complex architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

B) GOOD TO HAVE - Strong Differentiators

- Deep Core Banking exposure, especially having architected solutions integrating with Core Banking platforms.
- Experience across application modernization, microservices and API-led architecture.

•Experience designing large-scale enterprise banking applications and complex integration ecosystems.
- Vendor/product evaluation experience, including technology assessment and vendor selection.
- Experience conducting PoCs as part of product/vendor evaluation.
- Familiarity with multiple architecture/design and modelling tools.
- Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD architecture/practices.
- Multi-cloud exposure across Azure, AWS and/or GCP, while Azure remains preferred.
- Experience working within a Bank's architecture governance / design authority framework.
- Ability to bridge business/process understanding with technical architecture, particularly when discussing banking use cases.
- Experience guiding developers and engineering teams through design reviews, code reviews and architecture remediation.
