Job Summary

Own the on-site implementation and operationalization of DPDP / DPDPA privacy capabilities, combining privacy-domain knowledge with hands-on technology deployment, integration, workflow automation and troubleshooting.

Act as the primary technical bridge among the customer, Privacy / Legal, Information Security, IT, Seqrite implementation teams and product engineering.

Enable data discovery, consent and rights workflows, retention controls, reporting and measurable compliance outcomes through a stable, auditable and integrated privacy platform.

Job Responsibilities

(The key tasks and duties you will be expected to perform in this role.)

- Interpret DPDP / DPDPA and relevant GDPR requirements; conduct current-state assessments, privacy control gap analysis, data-flow discovery and requirement traceability.




- Translate privacy requirements into solution architecture, configuration specifications, implementation plans and acceptance criteria; support DPIA / PIA, RoPA, evidence collection and audit readiness.
- Install, configure, harden, upgrade and maintain privacy technology across development, test, staging and production environments.
- Configure data discovery, classification, inventory, mapping, consent / notice management, rights-request fulfilment, retention and deletion workflows.
- Integrate privacy platforms with databases, file repositories, SaaS applications, identity providers, email, ticketing, SIEM, DLP and enterprise portals; execute SIT, UAT, security testing, cutover and rollback.
- Develop secure APIs, connectors, adapters, scripts, workflow extensions, validation rules, reports and automation; perform code reviews, testing, secure coding and release packaging.
- Troubleshoot application, API, database, authentication and deployment issues; perform RCA and implement sustainable fixes.
- Own customer-site coordination, progress / risk reporting, product-engineering escalations, administrator training, SOPs, runbooks, documentation, audits and critical incidents within agreed SLAs.

Must Have Skills (The essential skills and expertise required to succeed in this role.)

- 4-5 years of relevant experience in privacy engineering, privacy technology, data protection implementation, GRC technology or enterprise application integration.
- Practical exposure to GDPR and India DPDPA / DPDP, including privacy principles, consent, data-principal rights, data inventory, retention and audit evidence.




- Hands-on implementation experience with privacy, data governance, data discovery, consent, DSAR, DLP or compliance automation platforms.
- Hands-on coding / scripting capability for APIs, connectors, automation jobs, reports and integration utilities.
- Working knowledge of REST / JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, webhooks, SDKs, ETL patterns and enterprise integration troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of SQL and enterprise databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Exposure to cloud / container fundamentals, IAM / PAM, DLP, SIEM, SOAR, EDR / XDR, encryption, vulnerability management and monitoring tools.
- Windows Server and Linux administration, certificates, proxies, DNS, firewalls, service accounts and log analysis.
- Secure SDLC, OWASP principles, secrets management, audit logging, unit / integration testing, API testing and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering or equivalent; strong written and verbal communication.

Nice / Good to have skills (Additional skills that are not mandatory but give you an added advantage in this role.)

- CIPP/E and CIPT certifications; CIPM, CDPSE, ISO/IEC 27701 or ISO/IEC 27001 are preferred.
- Experience with Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript / TypeScript, PowerShell or shell scripting.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP, Docker / Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, release automation and rollback planning.
- Power BI or equivalent dashboards, advanced Excel, operational metrics, audit evidence and executive status reporting.
- Customer-site implementation experience with solid stakeholder coordination, documentation, knowledge transfer and structured RCA.
