As a growing team, we’re building scalable infrastructure and systems to support our platform (for ourselves and our customers), and we are looking for a Lead/ Senior Test Engineer who can help make everything robust, automated, secure, and efficient.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer who is equally comfortable doing hands-on manual testing and building robust automation frameworks. You'll own quality across the product lifecycle: understanding requirements, shaping test strategy, writing and maintaining automated tests (primarily in Playwright), and integrating them into our CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, business analyst and designers to make sure we ship reliable, high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse business and technical requirements and participate in grooming and design discussions to identify testability gaps and risks early.
- Define test plans, test strategies, and test coverage for features, releases, and regression cycles.
- Perform hands-on manual testing, including functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and UAT support.
- Identify test scope, risks, dependencies, and appropriate testing approaches for new features and releases.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing, with Playwright as the preferred tool.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and keep them fast, stable, and trustworthy.
- Write clear,



reproducible defect reports, track them to closure, and help with root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, DevOps, design, analysts, support) to align on quality goals and release readiness.
- Monitor and report quality metrics such as test coverage, defect trends, and flaky-test rates.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote testing best practices across the team.
- Contribute to performance and load testing efforts where needed.
- Participate in and contribute to agile/scrum ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of total experience in software testing / quality assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. This is not a purely automation or purely manual role.
- Proficiency in automation using Playwright (preferred), or comparable tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO, with willingness to work primarily in Playwright.
- Valuable Experience with mobile automation using Appium or comparable tools.
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (preferred), Python, or Java.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright's API testing capabilities.
- Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to create test plans, test strategies, and test cases from requirements.
- Experience with version control (Git) and test/defect management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).




- Experience with load and performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think like an end user.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the SDLC.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend and data validation.
- Familiarity with visual regression, accessibility, or security testing.
- Ability to gel and work in a team and assist junior team members on techno-functional grounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valuable analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or similar certification.
