Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop, and enhance software components for enterprise/networking products.

- Work on Switching, Routing, Fast Path and Data Path components.

- Develop and enhance Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking protocols.

- Design and implement scalable, high-performance networking software using C/C++.

- Work on protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, STP and Multicast.

- Debug complex issues across networking layers and optimize system performance.

- Work closely with architecture and engineering teams on networking product development.

- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting and product enhancements.

- Senior-level candidates may provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong programming experience in C and/or C++.





- Strong experience in Network Protocol Development.

- Hands-on experience in Switching and/or Routing software development.

- Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts and protocols.

- Experience with Fast Path / Data Path development.

- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking stack.

- Experience with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, STP and Multicast.

- Experience or solid exposure to developing software for Switches / Routers.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving and system-level programming skills.

- Experience with Broadcom chipsets/SDKs would be an added advantage.
