About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Java to join our engineering team and help design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software applications.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to build robust backend services and APIs. You will contribute to technical design, implementation, code quality, and continuous improvement of our products and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Java.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.

- Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize database queries when required.

- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.

- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.

- Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

- Contribute to improving application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including planning, estimation, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.





- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related technical field.

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.

- Solid knowledge of Java 8+, including collections, streams, concurrency, and exception handling.

- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

- Strong understanding of Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SAP HANA.

- Good understanding of SQL and database design.

- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.

- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and operating high-scale distributed systems.

- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

- Experience with performance tuning and JVM optimization.

- Knowledge of system design, design patterns, and distributed systems.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
