Senior Scrum Master

Bengaluru, India 10-12 years Full-time Enable high-performing Agile teams by strengthening collaboration, removing delivery impediments and driving continuous improvement.

Role Overview

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will guide cross-functional teams in applying Agile principles and practices effectively. You will facilitate team ceremonies, remove impediments, coach team members and stakeholders, and help establish a culture of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Coach teams in Scrum, Agile values, self-organization and outcome-focused delivery.
- Identify, track and remove delivery impediments affecting the team.
- Partner with Product Owners to strengthen backlog readiness, prioritization and acceptance criteria.
- Promote collaboration across product, engineering, quality and business stakeholders.
- Protect teams from unnecessary interruptions while maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
- Monitor delivery flow, dependencies, risks and team health.
- Use Agile metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.




- Facilitate constructive resolution of team conflicts and delivery challenges.
- Support release planning and coordination across dependent teams.
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile communities of practice.
- Help teams continuously improve their ways of working and delivery predictability.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years working as a Scrum Master.
- Robust practical understanding of Scrum, Kanban and Agile principles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional product or engineering teams.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict-resolution and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing dependencies, risks and impediments across multiple teams.
- Ability to use delivery metrics without turning them into individual performance measures.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or an equivalent platform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have

- CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master or an equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience working in scaled Agile or multi-team delivery environments.
- Familiarity with product discovery, DevOps and quality-engineering practices.
- Experience coaching distributed or globally located teams.
- Understanding of flow metrics such as cycle time, lead time, throughput and work in progress.
- Experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Management or an equivalent discipline.
