We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Infrastructure & AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of our critical SAP environments hosted on the AWS cloud. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security across our IT landscape, bridging the gap between traditional SAP infrastructure and modern cloud-native practices. The successful candidate will drive automation initiatives, manage disaster recovery strategies, and optimize system observability to support business continuity and scalability in a dynamic IT Services environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust SAP infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS cloud services, ensuring alignment with Well-Architected Framework standards.
- Manage and optimize SAP HANA and Sybase/ASE database environments, including performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Design and maintain high-availability clusters using Pacemaker to guarantee seamless SAP operations and minimal downtime.
- Develop and execute comprehensive disaster recovery and data replication strategies to safeguard critical business data.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation workflows using tools like Ansible to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and monitor observability frameworks to proactively identify and resolve system issues before they impact operations.
- Administer and secure Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments hosting SAP applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy systems to AWS and optimize existing cloud resources for cost and efficiency.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in IT services.
- Proven expertise in SAP Basis administration, including deep knowledge of SAP HANA and Sybase/ASE technologies.
- Solid proficiency in AWS Architecture, specifically regarding SAP workloads on the cloud and adherence to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing Pacemaker clusters for SAP High Availability (HA) scenarios.
- Solid background in Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools, particularly Ansible, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Competence in designing and executing Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and data replication mechanisms.
- Ability to implement observability solutions and drive automation initiatives to enhance system reliability.
