Position: Sr. MEP QC Engineer

Reporting To: PMC Project Manager / QA-QC Head

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor MEP quality control activities at site as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project quality plan.
- Inspect and verify installation works related to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, and other MEP systems.
- Review and ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, material specifications, method statements, ITPs, and checklists.
- Conduct inspections and ensure that MEP works are executed as per approved standards, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Review material submittals, technical datasheets, manufacturer recommendations, and material inspection reports.
- Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, inspection requests (IR/WIR), and quality documentation.
- Identify quality deviations and issue/monitor NCRs, observations, and corrective action reports.
- Ensure proper testing and inspection of MEP installations, including pressure testing, insulation testing, continuity testing, megger testing, flushing, hydro testing, testing & commissioning, as applicable.
- Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, client representatives, and other project teams for inspection and quality-related matters.
- Verify proper MEP coordination with civil, structural, and architectural works and identify clashes or installation issues.
- Monitor rectification of defects, snag/punch-point closure, and ensure timely corrective actions by contractors.
- Maintain complete QA/QC records, inspection reports, test reports,



material approvals, NCR logs, calibration records, and quality dossiers.
- Verify MEP work completion and quality documentation before recommending work for measurement/billing.
- Participate in quality meetings, contractor coordination meetings, and client/consultant inspections.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings, testing & commissioning records, O&M; documentation, and final handover dossiers.

Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of MEP QA/QC procedures, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, and utility systems.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, SLDs, schematics, layouts, BOQ, specifications, and technical datasheets.
- Good knowledge of applicable IS Codes, NBC, NFPA and project-specific specifications, as relevant.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining ITP, MIR, WIR/IR, checklists, NCR, inspection reports, and quality dossiers.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of contractor quality management and site inspection procedures.

Qualification & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / relevant MEP discipline.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in MEP QA/QC, construction, consultancy, or PMC projects.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction projects preferred.
- Candidates with prior PMC/consultant-side experience will be preferred.
