Role OverviewIn the Aerospace and Defense industry, Quality Assurance is not merely a department—it is the foundational pillar of operational airworthiness, product reliability, and national security compliance.

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Manager – Quality Assurance to lead our end-to-end QA/QC operations. This pivotal leadership role requires a cross-disciplinary engineering background with expertise across both Mechanical precision manufacturing and Electronics/Avionics QA.

The ideal candidate must hold an active AS 9100 Rev D Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification and possess a proven track record of successfully guiding projects through rigorous clearance and certification audits with the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) and Defense Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) QA divisions (e.g., HAL, BEL, BDL, BEML).

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Quality Leadership & AS 9100 Rev D Management

- Direct and maintain the company's AS 9100 Rev D Quality Management System (QMS) across design, procurement, machining, electronics assembly, and integration phases.




- Act as the primary Management Representative (MR) for internal, external, surveillance, and recertification audits.
- Institutionalize AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI), APQP, PPAP, and Configuration Management protocols across all product lines.
- Drive closed-loop corrective action processes (8D, Root Cause Corrective Action [RCCA], 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis) for customer complaints and internal non-conformances.

- Regulatory & Customer Liaison (DGAQA / DPSU / Military Airworthiness)

- Act as the single-point contact for DGAQA Inspectors, CEMILAC, Military Inspection Agencies, and DPSU QA representatives.
- Lead stage-wise inspections, Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) approvals, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and final store clearance procedures (Form-1 / Green Tag clearances).
- Prepare, review, and execute comprehensive Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and Document Packs for defense supply programs.

- Dual-Domain Quality Assurance (Mechanical + Electronics)

- Mechanical QA Oversight: Oversee Quality Control for precision CNC/VMC machined parts, sheet metal components, welded assemblies, heat treatment, and surface treatment processes. Ensure mastery of GD&T;, CMM inspection, and NDT methodologies.
- Electronics & Avionics QA Oversight: Oversee QA for electronic hardware, PCBAs, cable/wire harnesses, embedded systems, EMI/EMC compliance,



and environmental stress testing (ESS) per MIL-STD / IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620).

- Supplier Quality & Risk Management

- Audit, qualify, and manage critical aerospace supplier bases for both raw materials and electronic components.
- Implement Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and vendor capability assessments to prevent counterfeit parts entering the supply chain.
- Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) to assess, disposition, and resolve non-conforming materials.

Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Experience: 12–18+ years of core Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Mandatory Certification: Certified AS 9100 Rev D Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor.
- Regulatory Track Record: Demonstrated experience in obtaining DGAQA clearances and working directly with DPSU Quality Audit teams (HAL, BEL, etc.) on active defense contracts.
- Cross-Domain Expertise: Hands-on technical understanding of both mechanical precision components (VMC/CNC, GD&T;, CMM) and electronic systems (IPC standards, harness, ESS testing).
- Standards Familiarity: Deep knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, IPC-A-610, IPC-620, AS9102, and ISO 9001.
