iMolecule Softech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong Django experience to join our engineering team in Noida.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade software applications used by banks and financial institutions. The role involves building secure and reliable backend systems, REST APIs, financial workflows, integrations and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Celery and Redis, along with a strong understanding of software testing, security and scalable application design.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build REST APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Implement maker-checker workflows, role-based access control and audit trails.
- Design and optimise PostgreSQL databases, queries, indexes and transactions.
- Develop background jobs and scheduled processes using Celery and Redis.
- Integrate applications with banking systems and internal/external AI/ML services.
- Develop accurate financial calculation logic using Python Decimal.
- Build Excel and PDF-based regulatory and management reports.
- Write clean, maintainable, typed and well-tested code.
- Use pytest and mypy for testing and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions.
- Support Docker-based deployments and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues and assist with security/VAPT findings.
- Work closely with business analysts and end users to understand requirements.

Required Skills




- 4+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of production experience with Django.
- Strong knowledge of Django REST Framework, Django ORM and Django Admin.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, indexing and query optimisation.
- Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis.
- Experience with Python type hints, mypy and pytest.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorisation and web security.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with Docker and Git-based CI/CD.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Good to Have
- Experience in banking, fintech, financial services or enterprise SaaS.
- Experience with workflow/state-machine frameworks such as django-fsm or Viewflow.
- Knowledge of audit logging tools such as django-simple-history, django-auditlog or pgAudit.
- Experience with Keycloak, OpenID Connect or Active Directory.
- Knowledge of FastAPI.
- Experience integrating AI/ML services with web applications.
- Experience with Vue.js or HTMX.
- Knowledge of property-based testing using Hypothesis.
- Experience deploying applications on Linux/on-premise environments.
