About the Role:

MEICON Group is seeking an experienced

Planning professional with strong expertise in Heavy Infrastructure projects to lead project scheduling and control across our global portfolio in India and U.S.A., where the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, tracking the critical path, planning resources, and driving delay analysis, recovery planning, and timely progress reporting in close collaboration with our execution team.

Location : Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, manage, and maintain detailed baseline schedules, master schedules, and short-term look-ahead schedules using Primavera P6 and MSP.

· Create and define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activities, activity codes, durations, logic links, lags, and constraints as per project scope.

· Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules including manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

· Perform resource leveling, resource optimization, and what-if scenario analysis to improve productivity and efficiency.

· Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress at site and validate actuals against planned activities.

· Continuously track and analyze critical path, near-critical paths, float analysis, and key milestones.

· Prepare and present comprehensive project control deliverables - Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), S-curves, histograms, and cash flow projections.

· Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM), SPI,



and CPI analysis to assess project performance and forecast ETC and EAC.

· Carry out delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), Window Analysis, and root cause analysis for Extension of Time (EOT) claims.

· Develop and implement recovery plans, mitigation strategies, catch-up plans, and acceleration programs.

· Identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, and potential conflicts in advance and recommend proactive corrective measures.

· Review and interpret IFC drawings, BOQs, specifications to ensure constructability and schedule accuracy.

· Coordinate with design, estimation, quantity surveying, procurement, and execution teams for integrated project planning.

· Support estimation and bidding teams with preliminary schedules, resource planning, and project execution methodology.

· Liaise with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors projects and participate in progress review meetings.

· Ensure all planning activities comply with contractual requirements, client standards, and project specifications.

· Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all baseline and revised schedules, assumptions, and changes.

· Mentor and guide junior planning engineers and ensure best practices in planning and project controls.

· Contribute to MEICON Group’s data-driven, technology-powered project delivery system and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

· 7-10 years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in Heavy Civil Infrastructure projects like Highways, Bridges, Tunnels, Metro, Rail, Dams, and Industrial Structures

· Solid working knowledge of Primavera P6 & MSP (Microsoft Project) is mandatory

· B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering or related discipline is mandatory

· M. Tech in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills

· Proven ability in team coordination, inter-departmental collaboration, and independently handling tasks with ownership
