About the role

This role owns the entire path from purchase order to a working installation at the customer's site. Procurement, production, quality, dispatch, installation scheduling, and client communication all sit with you. If a component is short, a batch is delayed, or a client is waiting on a commissioning date, you're the one who sees it first and fixes it. We're looking for someone who runs operations on numbers and systems, not firefighting.

What you'll do

Procurement and vendor management

- Plan material requirements from the order pipeline and production schedule
- Source and negotiate with vendors for electronic components, PCBs, enclosures, cables, panels, and mechanical parts
- Manage vendor onboarding, rate contracts, lead times, payment terms, and performance reviews
- Track and reduce component shortages, single-source risks, and price escalations
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers and job-work vendors for PCB assembly, fabrication, and enclosure work

Production and quality

- Own the production and assembly schedule — capacity planning, work orders,



daily output targets
- Ensure in-process and final QC: functional testing, burn-in, firmware flashing, serial number and traceability records
- Drive first-pass yield, reduce rework and RMA rates, and close the loop with the engineering team on recurring defects
- Maintain SOPs, test jigs, work instructions, and operator training

Inventory and logistics

- Control stores and inventory — stock accuracy, reorder levels, ageing and dead stock, batch and serial traceability
- Manage dispatch, packing standards, transporters, freight costs, e-way bills, and delivery timelines
- Track site-wise material issue and reconciliation so nothing goes missing between the warehouse and the installation

Delivery and client management

- Own the delivery calendar: convert confirmed orders into committed installation and commissioning dates, and hit them
- Schedule and deploy site engineers; ensure sites are ready before the team travels
- Act as the escalation point for clients on delivery, installation, and service issues — keep them informed before they have to ask
- Manage AMC and service commitments, SLA adherence, spares planning, and post-installation support
- Coordinate with sales on feasibility, timelines, and BOQ before commitments are made to the client

Systems and reporting

- Build and run an operations dashboard: order status, OTIF delivery, procurement ageing, production output, QC rejections, inventory value, open service tickets




- Set up and improve ERP/inventory processes; move the function off spreadsheets and WhatsApp where it still lives there
- Own the operations budget, cost of goods, and cost-reduction initiatives

What we're looking for

- B.E./B.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent; MBA in Operations/SCM is a plus
- 5–10 years in operations, supply chain, or production — ideally in electronics, hardware, automation, or a manufacturing-plus-installation business
- Proven ownership of at least two of: procurement, production planning, inventory, dispatch, or project delivery
- Strong vendor negotiation track record with evidence of cost or lead-time reduction
- Hands-on with ERP or inventory systems (Zoho, Tally, SAP, Odoo, or similar) and genuinely strong in Excel/Sheets
- Understands GST, purchase documentation, e-way bills, and basic import/logistics processes
- Client-facing maturity — can hold a difficult delivery conversation and keep the relationship intact
- Comfortable on the shop floor and at customer sites, not only at a desk

Nice to have

- Experience in an IoT, electronics, or EMS company
- Exposure to hardware NPI — taking a product from prototype into repeatable production
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, lean, or 5S practices
- Experience building a small ops team from scratch
