Senior Manager – Operations (Ocean Freight)

nJob Purpose:

nResponsible for managing and overseeing Ocean Freight Operations, ensuring productive shipment execution, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and compliance with company procedures.

nKey Responsibilities:

n

n
- Manage end-to-end Ocean Import & Export Operations across assigned locations.
n
- Lead and monitor regional/branch operations teams and ensure optimum productivity.
n
- Ensure timely shipment processing, documentation, billing coordination and file closure.
n
- Monitor operational KPIs, pending shipments, customer escalations and service quality.
n
- Drive process standardization, operational efficiency and cost control.
n
- Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas offices, customers and internal stakeholders.
n




- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
n
- Mentor and develop the operations team and support manpower planning.
n
- Prepare operational MIS and provide regular updates to management.
n

nExperience & Qualification:

n

n
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
n
- 12–15+ years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations, preferably in freight forwarding/MNC environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of Ocean Import & Export processes.
n
- Excellent leadership, customer management, problem-solving and communication skills.
