Key Responsibilities

Component Sourcing Vendor Management

- Source critical components including LEDs, PCBs, optical lenses, reflectors, wire harnesses, and plastic injection-molded parts.

- Evaluate and onboard new vendors capable of meeting automotive manufacturing standards (e.g., IATF 16949).

- Assess supplier performance continuously based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost competitiveness.

Negotiation Cost Optimization

- Negotiate pricing , payment terms, and annual rate contracts with domestic and international suppliers.

- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through Value Engineering (VA/VE) and alternate sourcing strategies.

- Analyze market trends for raw materials (like engineering plastics and electronic chips) to mitigate price volatility.

Operations Material Planning

- Collaborate with RD and Engineering teams during the New Product Development (NPD) phase to source prototype components.

- Coordinate with Logistics and warehousing to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize material shortages.

- Manage purchase orders (POs) , track shipments, and resolve delivery or invoicing discrepancies promptly.





Required Qualifications Skills

- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering . A PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management is a plus.

- Experience: 6 to 9 years of procurement experience, strictly within the automotive component industry (experience in automotive lighting or electronics is highly preferred).

- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of LED technology, plastic injection molding, and electronics sourcing . Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and IATF 16949 quality frameworks.

- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with SAP MM module (or a similar major ERP system) and advanced MS Excel.

- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
