Experience : 10-18 years of relevant experience in downstream refinery, petrochemical, and chemical plant projects. Experience on projects executed for Engineers India Limited (EIL) will be preferred.
Qualification : Graduation/ Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
Role Overview The selected candidate will be responsible for executing and coordinating procurement engineering activities related to Mechanical Static Equipment mainly Tall Process Columns, Pressure Vessels & Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers (Fixed Tubesheet and U-Tube Type) for downstream projects. The candidate should possess solid expertise in the design, specification, evaluation, and review of static equipment in compliance with International and Indian design codes and standards.
The candidate shall have sound knowledge of:
- ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2
- API Codes and Standards
- TEMA Standards
- Indian Standards (IS) related to wind and seismic loadings
- Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design practices
Key Responsibilities
Design Engineering
- Prepare detailed mechanical design calculations using PV Elite software.
- Prepare comprehensive mechanical datasheets and technical specifications for static equipment.
Procurement Engineering
- Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) and technical documentation for procurement activities.
- Conduct detailed technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
- Review and approve vendor mechanical design calculations.
- Review and approve vendor general arrangement drawing and related detail fabrication drawings.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Coordination & Communication
- Interface effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, client, inspection agencies, and equipment vendors.
- Participate in technical discussions, clarification meetings, and project review meetings.
Desired Competencies
- Strong understanding of pressure vessel, column, and heat exchanger design principles.
- Proficiency in PV Elite software.
- Excellent technical, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
