About the role

You will own the technology that runs a group of rapid-growing U.S. home-services and solar brands: Elevation Energy Solutions, Grid Association, and Chief Electric. You start with a small team (one full-stack developer and one virtual assistant) and build it into a 68 person technology team over the next 1224 months. You will build the systems, the middleware, the phone stack, the data layer, and the team from the ground up.

This is a player-coach role. You write code, read code, build reports, wire integrations, document systems, and map processes yourself, while managing the people who do the same. You move fast, you communicate clearly, and you ship.

Your first 68 months center on one thing: becoming the company's ServiceTitan expert. Learn it end to end, build it out for Chief Electric, document every workflow, build the reporting, fix what breaks, and use AI to run it faster.

Requirements (all of these are required)

- 7+ years in software development, systems implementation, or business systems, with 2+ years leading a small team.
- You write and read code. Comfortable in at least one modern stack (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL, or similar) and able to review a developer's pull request. Candidates who cannot code will not be considered.
- You build with AI tools daily. Working experience with several of: Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, Replit, Lovable, GitHub Copilot, or similar. You stay current on what's new and apply it to system building, documentation, and reporting.
- You have implemented or administered a field service management or CRM platform (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, Jobber, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar).




- You have built or managed integrations and middleware between business systems: APIs, webhooks, and either middleware tools (Zapier, Make, n8n) or custom services.
- You understand VoIP and programmable telephony. Hands-on with Twilio, Telnyx, or a comparable platform: numbers, routing, SMS, recording, and connecting them to a CRM or dialer.
- You are business-savvy. You understand the KPIs a home-services company runs on (cost per lead, booking rate, close rate, average ticket, revenue per tech, CAC) and can build reporting around them.
- Strong SQL and reporting skills. You have built dashboards and pulled operational reports from live business systems.
- You have written technical documentation and process flows that non-technical staff could follow.
- You have managed a team and pushed it to deliver. Hands-on every day; you know exactly what your team is working on.
- You move quickly, communicate clearly in writing and on calls, and finish what you start.
- Fluent written and spoken English. Able to work full U.S. Pacific hours.

Strongly preferred

- Hands-on ServiceTitan experience (admin, implementation, or reporting). If you have this, say so first.
- Experience inside a home-services company (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, solar, roofing, garage doors) or a company that sells to them. • Experience with call-center or outbound sales operations: dialers, lead routing, CRM workflows, inbound/outbound pipelines.
- Has connected marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile, call tracking) into a CRM for attribution.
- Has built or contributed to a data warehouse or data lake (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, Redshift) with a BI tool on top (Looker, Power BI, Metabase, Tableau).
