1. Sales Strategy &
- Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales plans for the Private Label portfolio in line with annual
- business targets.
- Drive achievement of assigned sales, revenue and profitability targets for PL
- products.
- Analyse sales trends, category performance, product mix and store-level
- performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop plans to increase PL contribution to overall retail sales.
- Monitor sales performance through regular MIS, dashboards and business reviews.
- Identify underperforming categories/SKUs and implement corrective action plans.
1. Private Label Portfolio &
- Market Penetration
- Drive sales growth across key PL categories including Wellness, Personal Care, OTC and Ethical Medicines.
- Increase PL product penetration across retail stores and improve the percentage of customer bills containing PL products.
- Develop and implement shelf-substitution strategies to encourage movement from low-margin third-party products to suitable PL alternatives.
- Identify category gaps and opportunities for expansion of the PL portfolio.
- Track product-wise, category-wise and store-wise sales velocity and recommend appropriate actions.
1. Store Execution &
- Trade Activation
- Work closely with Retail Operations to ensure effective implementation of PL sales initiatives across stores.
- Drive in-store promotions, product visibility, cross-merchandising and tactical sales campaigns.
- Ensure appropriate shelf visibility, planogram adherence and effective POSM placement.
- Develop store-level activation plans to improve PL product visibility and consumer offtake.
- Monitor execution of promotional activities and evaluate their impact on sales.
1. Frontline Team Engagement &
- Product Knowledge
- Coordinate with Retail Operations to strengthen product knowledge and activeselling capabilities of pharmacists, store managers and frontline employees.
- Develop and support PL product training initiatives.
- Monitor the impact of training and product awareness initiatives on store-level PL sales.
- Encourage frontline teams to recommend relevant PL alternatives to customers.
1. New Product Development &
- Product Lifecycle
- Work with NPD, Sourcing, Marketing and other stakeholders to identify potential recent
- PL products based on market demand and sales trends.
- Provide sales and market inputs for new product development.
- Support successful launch and distribution of new PL SKUs across the retail network.
- Track new product performance during the initial launch period and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Monitor product lifecycle, sales velocity and SKU performance.
1. Marketing &
- Brand Activation
- Coordinate with the Brand Marketing team for the development and execution of the annual PL marketing calendar.
- Support BTL activities, digital campaigns, localized promotions and loyalty initiatives.
- Recommend promotional strategies based on category and store-level sales data.
- Monitor Marketing ROI and sales impact of PL promotional campaigns.
1. Vendor, Supply Chain &
- Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to ensure adequate availability of high-performing PL SKUs.
- Support vendor evaluation and commercial negotiations where required.
- Monitor stock availability and highlight potential stock-out situations.
- Track inventory levels, slow-moving and non-moving PL products.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to develop liquidation/mitigation plans for nearexpiry and slow-moving inventory.
- Ensure optimum stock availability across warehouses and retail stores.
1. Business Analytics &
- MIS
- Prepare and review regular PL sales MIS covering revenue, growth, category contribution, SKU performance and store-wise performance.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, gaps and business opportunities.
- Develop actionable insights for management review.
- Track key performance indicators and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Present business performance and growth plans to senior management.
1. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Retail Operations, NPD, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain,
- Finance and Field Sales teams to ensure seamless execution of PL business plans.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve operational and commercial issues affecting PL sales.
- Drive alignment between product availability, pricing, promotions and storeleve execution.
1. Governance &
- Compliance
- Ensure that PL sales activities are aligned with applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure appropriate product documentation, packaging, labelling and regulatory compliance.
- Support quality and compliance initiatives for PL products.
- Ensure adherence to approved pricing, promotional and sales processes.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,275,000.00 per year
