Role Overview Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior L2 Network Engineer to join its global Digital & IT team in India.

The engineer will be responsible for operating and supporting a large-scale global WAN workplace spanning 5,000+ sites worldwide . The role requires an autonomous professional who can work closely with global telecom operators, including major providers such as NTT , as well as international network and IT teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in WAN operations, Cisco networking, incident/problem management, telecom operator coordination, and enterprise network support .

Mandatory Requirements Candidates must meet both of the following criteria:

- 12+ years of relevant Network Engineering experience
- Experience working with a large global telecom operator or a large global telecom/enterprise network environment, such as NTT or similar organizations

Key Responsibilities

- Provide senior Level 2 operational support for the organization's global WAN infrastructure.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve WAN connectivity incidents and problems.
- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers and network infrastructure.




- Manage WAN access incidents and coordinate resolution with global telecom operators.
- Work closely with international telecom providers such as NTT and other network service providers.
- Support backbone network operations and network monitoring activities.
- Manage WAN changes, network modifications, and new site deployments.
- Coordinate with global IT, network, telecom, and service-provider teams for incident and change resolution.
- Ensure network availability, stability, security, and operational compliance.
- Participate in problem management and root-cause analysis for recurring network issues.
- Follow established network operational processes, controls, and security requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of WAN operations and support processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience working with global telecom operators such as NTT, Orange, or Bouygues.
- Experience in large multinational, industrial, or global corporate environments.
- Experience with Network Control Centers (NCC) or similar network operations environments.
- Strong track record in network/process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of network compliance frameworks, permanent controls, and operational governance.
- Experience working across international teams and multiple time zones.
