We are building a secure healthcare coordination platform and need a hands-on senior engineer to own backend services and partner-directory ingestion.

Responsibilities

- Build Java/Spring Boot services with PostgreSQL.
- Design API, file, and scheduled ingestion pipelines.
- Normalize, validate, deduplicate, version, and reconcile partner records.
- Implement retries, rate limits, idempotency, and partial-failure recovery.
- Preserve source provenance and audit history.
- Build secure REST APIs and transactional database workflows.
- Implement family, recipient, tenant, and role authorization.
- Integrate Cognito-compatible JWT authentication.
- Write unit, integration, concurrency, and PostgreSQL/Testcontainers tests.
- Document design decisions and recovery procedures.

Required

- 5+ years of production Java and Spring Boot experience.




- Robust PostgreSQL, SQL, schema, transaction, and migration knowledge.
- Experience with ingestion, ETL, synchronization, or external API integrations.
- Strong understanding of deduplication, reconciliation, retries, and data consistency.
- Experience with background jobs, queues, or event-driven systems.
- Ability to debug production issues and explain technical decisions.

Good to have

AWS S3, SQS, EventBridge, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, Cognito, healthcare data, Docker, CI/CD, and observability.

Interview exercise

Build a Spring Boot ingestion service using PostgreSQL and synthetic partner data. Demonstrate normalization, duplicate detection, updates, provenance, idempotent retries, partial-failure handling, authorization, and automated tests.
