Key Project Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related discipline required; ability to travel approximately 25%.

- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting power generation, energy, or large industrial power systems.

- Strong experience with HV/MV electrical systems, power distribution, protection and controls, and grid interconnection.

- Experience supporting the full project lifecycle from conceptual design and FEED through EPC execution, construction, commissioning, and energization.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership for electrical systems supporting large-scale power generation projects. This position will own electrical scope from conceptual design and FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and energization.

The Senior Electrical

Engineer will coordinate closely with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, utilities, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure protected, reliable, and technically compliant electrical systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Develop and review electrical system concepts, single-line diagrams, power distribution architectures, and HV/MV system configurations.

- Perform and/or review load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, grounding, and other power system studies.

- Define technical requirements and specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relays, cables, inverters, BESS, and generator electrical systems.

- Review EPC engineering deliverables,



including SLDs, protection and control schematics, cable schedules, grounding designs, calculations, and IFC drawings.

- Prepare technical requisitions, evaluate vendor proposals, review equipment documentation, and support FATs and resolution of vendor technical issues.

- Provide electrical engineering support during construction, including RFIs, field issues, inspections, QA/QC, punch lists, and equipment installation.

- Develop and review commissioning, testing, and energization plans and support SATs, relay testing, system energization, grid synchronization, and performance testing.

- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, controls, EPC, utility, and project teams to ensure proper integration of electrical systems throughout project execution.

Job Requirements

- Strong knowledge of HV/MV power distribution, protection systems, electrical equipment, grounding, and grid integration.

- Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSCAD, or similar tools.

- Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NEC, and applicable utility interconnection requirements.

- Experience producing and reviewing detailed electrical engineering and IFC-level design deliverables.

- Knowledge of electrical construction practices, QA/QC, commissioning, testing, and energization.

Education / Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related discipline required.

- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting power generation or large industrial power systems.

- EPC, Owner’s Engineer, construction, and/or commissioning experience preferred.

- PE license or ability to obtain one preferred.
