About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure while partnering closely with engineering and business teams.

This role requires deep Azure expertise. Working knowledge or exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred, as we continue to support evolving multi-cloud requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand technical and business challenges and deliver scalable DevOps solutions.
- Design and implement DevOps architectures, roadmaps, and cloud solutions aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Establish and maintain Azure governance using Azure Policy, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, and security best practices.
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including YAML-based pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Azure-native Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep/ARM.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and promote Infrastructure as Code standards across environments.




- Design and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes/AKS, including deployment, scaling, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Assess existing cloud infrastructure and applications, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations around performance, reliability, security, and cost optimization.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and operational visibility across cloud environments.
- Support incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security, governance, performance, and cost-efficiency standards.
- Drive automation to reduce manual operational activities and improve deployment reliability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and practices across DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud, automation, and AI-enabled engineering tools.
- Create technical documentation and communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support knowledge sharing, cross-training, and mentoring of other engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure services, networking, identity, security, resource management, monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, preferably YAML-based pipelines.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Terraform is mandatory, including building and maintaining reusable infrastructure modules.
- Experience with Azure-native IaC technologies such as Bicep and/or ARM templates.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS in production environments.
- Understanding of Azure governance, including Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, and cloud security best practices.




- Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and designing secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Good understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
- Scripting/automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

- Working knowledge or hands-on exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of core AWS/GCP services, IAM, networking, compute, storage, Kubernetes, and cloud security concepts.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments or supporting cloud migration initiatives.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400.
- AWS or GCP certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience with GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD, or similar deployment technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
- Exposure to DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and security automation.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as healthcare, BFSI, or similar industries.

Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (preferable)
