Role Description The Senior Design Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune Division, responsible for leading the design and development of Part Design/Product Design, and machined components for press-line and automation applications. This role involves translating customer requirements into detailed engineering designs, preparing 3D models and manufacturing drawings, and collaborating with production, quality, and project teams to ensure manufacturability and performance.

Engineer will review and optimize existing designs, support on-site installation and commissioning, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, with 5+ experience in industrial automation or tooling systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies.
- Candidates should possess advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, preferably with proficiency in mainstream 3D CAD tools(Catia V5) used for Part design.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in press shop or automotive tooling, familiarity with CNC/VMC manufacturing, and exposure to robotic grippers or material handling solutions are highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and capacity to mentor junior team members.
