About the Role:-

EverGreen Solar is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Senior Design Engineer – Solar to join our Design & Engineering team.

The candidate will be responsible for the complete design and engineering of solar PV projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems, structural and electrical design, PV system simulation, technical drawings, 3D modelling, and project documentation.

The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, STAAD.Pro, and SketchUp, along with the ability to coordinate with project, procurement, and site execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Design and engineer rooftop and ground-mounted Solar PV systems based on project requirements.
- Prepare detailed solar PV layouts, module arrangements, equipment layouts, cable routing, and technical drawings.
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical layouts.
- Perform solar system simulation and energy-yield analysis using PVsyst.
- Conduct system configuration, loss analysis, shading analysis, and Performance Ratio (PR) assessment.
- Develop structural designs and perform structural analysis for solar mounting structures using STAAD.Pro.
- Prepare structural layouts, foundation-related drawings, and design documentation in coordination with the structural/site team.
- Create 3D models and visualization of solar installations using SketchUp.
- Analyze site conditions, roof dimensions, available installation area, obstructions, orientation, and shading considerations.
- Review site survey data, measurements, photographs, and other technical information before finalizing designs.
- Prepare BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, design calculations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with Project, Site, Procurement,



Electrical, and other departments for design implementation.
- Review and modify designs based on actual site conditions and project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Review drawings and technical work prepared by junior designers/engineers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior design team members.
- Resolve design-related technical issues during project execution.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, calculations, revisions, and technical documents.
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables as per project schedules.

Mandatory Software Skills:- The candidate must have hands-on working experience with:

- Load calculations
- Structural modelling
- Interpretation of structural analysis results

4. SketchUp

- 3D modelling
- Rooftop modelling
- Solar module and mounting structure visualization
- Site/installation visualization

Additional Technical Skills:-

- Strong knowledge of Solar PV system design and engineering.
- Good understanding of on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems.
- Knowledge of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, earthing, protection systems, and other PV components.




- Understanding of electrical and structural aspects of Solar EPC projects.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ/BOM preparation and quantity estimation.
- Knowledge of site survey and feasibility assessment.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel for engineering calculations and project documentation.
- Understanding of applicable Indian electrical, structural, and solar industry standards will be preferred.

Qualification:-

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in Solar PV Design & Engineering will be preferred.

Experience:-

- 3–6+ years of relevant experience in Solar PV Design, Solar EPC, Structural Design, or related engineering roles.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in Solar PV Design + Structural Design will be preferred.

Salary:- CTC: As per candidate's experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
