### Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Data Architect with 14–19 years of experience and strong expertise in GCP and Scala. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions and providing technical leadership across enterprise data engineering initiatives.

### Key Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance data engineering solutions on GCP.

Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-grade data platforms and pipelines.

Develop and optimize large-scale data processing solutions using Scala.

Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build modern data solutions.

Define data architecture, data flow, integration patterns, and technical standards.

Design robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing frameworks.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Conduct technical evaluations and recommend appropriate GCP services and data technologies.

Ensure solutions meet requirements related to performance, scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams.

Review architecture and code to ensure adherence to engineering best practices.





Identify and resolve complex technical and performance challenges.

Drive modernization and migration of legacy data platforms to cloud-based architectures.

Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technology roadmaps.

### Required Skills

14–19 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related technology roles.

Robust hands-on experience with GCP / Google Cloud Platform.

Strong programming experience in Scala.

Strong understanding of Data Engineering and Data Architecture principles.

Expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and distributed data processing solutions.

Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data integration, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts.

Experience working with large-scale data processing and cloud-based data platforms.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Proven experience providing technical leadership at an Architect/Senior Architect level.

### Preferred Skills

Experience with GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Composer.

Experience with Apache Spark** and distributed data processing.

Knowledge of data lake, data warehouse, and modern cloud data architecture patterns.

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud security practices.

Experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.

Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
