Job Title: Senior Data Analyst Role Overview The ideal candidate should be highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Data Analyst to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisionmaking and data monetisation. This role bridges business stakeholders and data engineering, ensuring data is reliable, well-modelled, and insight-ready. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL expertise, business acumen, and storytelling ability with hands-on experience in contemporary cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Business

Intelligence & Insights • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and measurable KPIs • Develop dashboards and executive-ready reports • Provide deep-dive analysis across customer, revenue, product, and operational domains • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities 2.

Advanced

Analytics • Perform cohort analysis, retention analysis, funnel analysis, and forecasting • Build analytical data models (star schemas, dimensional models) • Conduct A/B test analysis and experimentation measurement • Develop predictive or statistical models where appropriate 3. Data Modelling & Engineering Collaboration • Define business logic for transformations • Partner with data engineers to design curated datasets • Validate data quality and reconcile discrepancies • Document metrics and KPI definitions Stakeholder Engagement • Present insights to senior leadership • Translate technical findings into business language • Influence product, marketing, finance,



and operations decisions Technical Requirements Mandatory • 5 years experience in data analytics of which 3 years as Senior • Advanced SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning) • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) • Strong understanding of data modelling principles and execution there-of • Experience working with large datasets Preferred (Modern Data Stack) • Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks) • SQL Server environments • Experience with Delta Lake or Lakehouse architectures • Exposure to event-driven data (Kafka or streaming) • Python or R for advanced analytics Analytical Capabilities • Funnel conversion analysis • Retention & churn modelling • Revenue and margin analytics • Customer segmentation • Forecasting & scenario modelling • Data quality assessment Soft Skills • Strong communication and storytelling ability • Commercial mindset • Structured problem-solving • Ability to operate independently • Strong stakeholder management KPIs for the Role • Insight adoption rate • Time-to-insight • Accuracy of reporting • Stakeholder satisfaction • Data quality issue reduction Education • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field • Postgraduate qualification advantageous
