One of our Leading Listed Organisation is hiring for Credit Analyst in Kolkata, focusing on the credit assessment and financial analysis of large corporate clients.

Role: Senior Credit Manager The role will be responsible for evaluating and processing credit proposals, assessing the viability and risk associated with lending proposals, monitoring the credit portfolio, and providing analytical inputs to support sound credit decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and evaluate credit proposals and prepare documentation highlighting the viability of lending proposals.
- Take credit decision proposals within delegated authority and ensure adherence to prescribed approval processes and norms.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Channel Partners, DSAs and other stakeholders to understand proposals and obtain relevant information.
- Identify key risks in lending proposals and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure timely validation of proposals and prompt resolution of queries raised by sanctioning authorities.
- Provide inputs for enhancement of credit policies, risk matrices, interest rate policies, credit authorization frameworks and lending processes.
- Monitor the corporate/wholesale credit portfolio through analysis of financial fundamentals, ratings, covenants and industry performance.
- Develop and use analytical tools to assess portfolio health and identify early warning signals.
- Review repayment schedules, covenant compliance, changes in loan terms and other key portfolio parameters.
- Identify potential deterioration in credit quality and communicate early warning signals to Relationship Managers and senior management.
- Prepare and monitor MIS for business heads and Relationship Managers, including business performance and budget-related analysis.
- Support Relationship Managers through regular communication and training on credit parameters and lending proposal requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- CA / MBA qualification.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of credit assessment, financial analysis and risk evaluation.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving capabilities, including fraud detection awareness.
- Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.
- Process-oriented approach with an ability to work in a energetic business environment.
- Ability to conduct training and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for on-ground investigations, wherever required.
- Proficiency in MIS and relevant credit/fraud monitoring systems.
