ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated, experienced and student-focused Senior / Student Counsellor – Australia & New Zealand to join our Kochi team.

The successful candidate will counsel prospective students and their parents on international study opportunities in Australia or New Zealand, assess student profiles, recommend suitable courses and institutions, and manage students throughout the admission journey—from initial consultation to enrolment.

This role requires strong knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand markets, excellent counselling and communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with students and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Counsel students and parents on study options, courses, institutions and pathways in Australia and New Zealand.
- Assess students' academic backgrounds, career goals and preferences to recommend suitable study options.
- Manage the end-to-end application and enrolment process.
- Provide guidance on admission requirements, documentation and relevant student visa processes.
- Follow up with prospective students and leads to drive applications, offers and enrolments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, documentation and CRM information.




- Achieve individual and branch-level counselling, application and enrolment targets.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, school/college visits and other student recruitment activities.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, institutions and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on international education trends, admission requirements and visa regulations across relevant destinations.
- Work closely with admissions, visa processing, compliance, business development and marketing teams to ensure a smooth student experience.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in international student counselling or overseas education consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand universities, colleges, courses, admission requirements, and student visa processes.
- Strong understanding of international student admissions and visa processes for Australia and Current Zealand.
- Fluency in Malayalam and English is required; knowledge of additional Indian languages will be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of CRM systems, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Strong follow-up, counselling, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
