The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business data, identifying actionable insights, developing analytical solutions, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

The role will work closely with business and functional stakeholders to understand requirements, develop dashboards and analytical models, automate reporting processes, and provide meaningful insights to support business performance and strategic initiatives.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis & Insights

- Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
- Translate business objectives and requirements into meaningful analytical solutions.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business decisions.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Perform business and performance analysis across relevant functions, products, processes, and customer segments.

1. Reporting & Business Intelligence

- Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Automate recurring reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Define, track, and monitor business KPIs and performance metrics.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of analytical outputs.
- Develop intuitive and user-friendly dashboards for business and management stakeholders.

1. Data Analysis & Modelling

- Work with large and diverse datasets from multiple sources.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Develop analytical models and datasets to support business requirements.
- Identify data-quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Establish and maintain appropriate data definitions, business rules, and analytical methodologies.

1. Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management

- Engage with business and functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with technology, data, and business teams to deliver analytical projects.
- Present analytical findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage multiple analytical requirements and deliverables within agreed timelines.
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical/data teams where required.

Process Automation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive, and time-consuming processes.
- Develop data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Leverage Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, and other relevant technologies for reporting and process automation.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate analytical and automation tools.
- Continuously improve existing reports, dashboards, processes, and analytical frameworks.

1. Advanced Analytics

- Perform exploratory and advanced data analysis to address business problems.
- Develop analytical models for forecasting, segmentation, classification, propensity analysis, and other business use cases as required.
- Support business planning, scenario analysis, and performance forecasting.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep dives to support strategic and operational requirements.

1. Management & Strategic Support

- Prepare analytical inputs for management reviews, business presentations, and strategic initiatives.
- Convert complex data and analysis into concise, business-friendly insights.
- Support cross-functional and strategic projects through data-backed analysis.
- Track and report progress against key business initiatives and objectives.

Preferred candidate profile:

Technical Skills Mandatory

- Solid Python programming and data analysis skills, with hands-on experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and other relevant analytical libraries.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, manipulation,



and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data modelling.
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboard development, and visualisation.
- Strong understanding of data preparation, data manipulation, and analytical techniques.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Ability to develop automated and repeatable analytical and reporting solutions.

Technical Skills Preferred
- Exposure to statistical modelling, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and enterprise BI environments.
- Experience in automating analytical and reporting workflows.
- Familiarity with Git/version control and software development practices for analytical solutions.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA / PGDM in Business Analytics, Finance, Operations, or a related field would be an advantage.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, MIS, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Advanced Excel is required.
- Experience in developing business dashboards, analytical models, automated reporting solutions, and management reports.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
